Exhibiting at Elmslie House, Malvern
It’s always a pleasure to exhibit at Elmslie House in Malvern at their Contemporary Art and Craft Fair. I was there recently for their Christmas event and one of the perks is a free slice of cake with a cup of tea or coffee.
An Exhibition of small paintings at The Obsidian Gallery in Buckinghamshire
Here’s a photograph of me standing by some of my paintings at the “meet the artist afternoon” last month. Showing my work at a gallery also allows opportunities to receive commissions, make contacts as well as selling original paintings and I have quite a few commissions lined up for next year 2024.
A Winter Landscape
The light is lovely at this time of year and I particularly like the cold crisp days. I collect ideas when I go out for walks in the surrounding countryside and combine things that I see with whimsical characters from my imagination.

A commission of a listed building
Recently I finished a commission of an 18th Century barn near Wolverley in Worcestershire. It was fun to do and I like to add my own quirky spin on the composition by changing the perspective, whilst including the hills behind as if you were flying over the building in a balloon.

Fox and Fairies
It can take a while to finish a painting; I like to add lots of detail including depth of colour and sometimes I put in a little bit of gold leaf to give the painting a speckled glint of gold.
