Le Soleil et les Grenouilles

Here is “The Sun and the Frogs” in progress. During the summer I painted the lily pond in our nearby gardens and this was a really good starting point for me to begin this illustration. last week I was invited by an art group in Warwickshire to demonstrate and I began this painting there.

The Fox and the Crow

I’m currently working on some commissions based on Aesop’s Fables. I did this painting a while a go based on “The Fox and the Crow” and I am also painting “The Hare and the Tortoise” and “The sun and the Frogs”. The programme is estimated to be on television next August or September. I sold it a few years ago in Stratford at an […]

Sea Breeze painting in progress

For this painting I wanted the colours to be soft and wistful to give the feeling of yearning to be by the sea. I am imagining the sea breeze blowing the translucent curtain through the window and wafting the flowers on the window sill. The rippling waves are echoing the the folds in the curtains […]

Painting on my stand at the Autumn show

I enjoy demonstrating on my stand, it always gives me something to talk about but I try to plan the painting in advance so that I know what I am doing. This year I thought I would paint a romantic window harbour view of Porthleven in Cornwall.
