In this landscape you can see some Sidra trees which are also in the Yemeni illustration but the back drop is very a very different landscape.
Kyrgystan design for Balquees Honey
This design includes the bright coloured Sainfoin flowers that have a beautiful pink blossom which attracts the bees and can be found in the meadows near the mountains. I have also painted some butterflies, the “Colias Regia” fluttering around the flowers alongside the bees.
Yemen Design for Balquees Honey
This design for the “Healing Honey Forest” range is for Yemen. The design is asymmetrical with the mountains in the distance and flowers and trees in the foreground. I have added some native birds from Yemen for example, the Linnet and the Golden-winged Grosbeak.

Commission of a pretty Cottage near Upton-On -Severn
I already have several commissions to do this year and this commission was completed last Summer. It was a pleasure to paint outside “en plein air” and capture the atmosphere of this summer garden.
Durham Castle Commission
Castles are a great subject matter for a commission and I have been to visit Durham on a number of occasions. I enjoyed painting this scene of the river with the bridge and rowers.
The Unicorn and the Castle

The Rose Fairy

The Blue Vase
This recent painting is a view of Craster harbour, inspired by a blue vase and the pretty harbour. The blue vase mirrors the colours of the sea and the tulips reminds us that Spring is round the corner.
