I created this painting while I was on my stand at the Three Counties Show in Malvern. I made the sketch at home and enjoyed building up the layers of colours to create the atmosphere. It isn’t an accurate painting of Looe, more an imaginary place which allows me more artistic licence. I had fun experimenting with patterns in the sea and the sky. I had to smile because a few people on Facebook thought it was based on Bude.
